All 91 FIDE federations with at least forty titled players, counted from the published list.

Producing a lot of titled players and producing very strong ones turn out to be almost unrelated. Russia has more titled players than any other federation and a Grandmaster share below the median; China has a tenth as many titled players and the highest median rating of any sizeable federation. The federations with enough players to fill a page are linked; the rest are listed with their numbers.
